AI can produce the report in seconds. Making it reliable takes months of foundational work in data and analytics.

The inherited BI estate
Decades of dashboards, reports and pipelines have accumulated into an estate most organisations struggle to see, let alone manage. It holds years of institutional knowledge worth building on, along with years of reporting that nobody has fully mapped.
What it now demands
Bringing both forward together is what's in front of every analytics leader right now. It means clean definitions, trusted metrics, and context layers strong enough to carry the weight AI now puts on them.
The next five years
Budget rounds and platform commitments define the next five years through what gets funded, retired or left alone. Moving too fast writes off knowledge that took years to accumulate. Moving too slowly leaves maintenance costs competing with the AI budget.
